The Department of the Air Force, Air Mobility Command, has issued a request for proposal for work on the main runway including shoulders and taxiways at Grand Forks AFB.  The major work involves rubblization of PCC with aggregate base and HMA overlay of the internal portion (150 ft. x 10,350 ft.) of the runway with HMA shoulders.  The initial site visit was August 11, 2004 and a second site visit has been scheduled for August 24, 2004.  The deadline date for RFP’s is August 30, 2004.  The web site link for the proposal as well as GFAFB contacts is:
